How To Measure Your Dog

How you measure depends on whether you choose our classic Slip-On Beaded Collar or our Buckle Beaded Collar. Please use a soft measuring tape and follow the rules below for the perfect fit.

📏 Option A: Measuring for a Slip-On Collar

  • Step 1 (The Head): Measure the widest part of your dog’s head. This is usually right in front of the ears.
  • Step 2 (The Neck): Measure around the neck where a collar naturally sits.
  • The Golden Rule: Compare both numbers. You must choose your collar size based on the larger of these two measurements so it can slip on easily.

🏷️ Option B: Measuring for a Buckle Collar

  • Step 1 (The Neck Only): Measure around the thickest part of your dog's neck where the collar sits.
  • The Golden Rule: Pull the tape snug but not tight. You should be able to comfortably fit two fingers between the tape and your dog's neck.

💡 Sizing Tips for Both Styles

  • When in Doubt, Size Up: If your measurement is close to the end of a size range, choose the next size up. (Example: If your measurement is 13.5", size up to 14”).
  • Use your final measurement from above to find your range. While breed averages are listed below, always measure your specific dog before ordering.
